The Rabbit Hole
Who am I?
What was I saying?
"The real purpose of books is to trap the mind into doing its own thinking." -Christopher Morley 📚⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Gotta love Bill Murray. 😆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I take this to indicate that where I am not healing, I am hurting; within as so without. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Perfection is unattainable, anyway. Embrace being a human; accept imperfections. Change what you must and work with the rest while encouraging others to do the same. <3 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please be the reason someone doesn't feel invisible today.
Maintenance is key to longevity. Perhaps not the only key, but one of them. You wouldn't only tend to one specific area of a car or a house, a boat, bridge, machine, etc., would you? Chances are, when one neglected area crumbles, it'll damage the rest. We are complex human beings with minds and hearts that need maintenance just as much as our bodies do. Yet, we tend to hone in on one area and tell ourselves the rest will be ok, that the rest is best not to deal with, or too tiresome to mess with. The excuses are endless and I am no exception here. But our unwillingness to acknowledge something does not diminish the importance of it. I believe we only make it harder on ourselves when avoiding practices which promise a more stable life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"What is the secret of the invention? What is the substance endowed with such astonishing sensibility to the rays of light, that it not only penetrates itself with them, but preserves their impression; performs at once the function of the eye and the optic nerve - the material instrument of sensation and sensation itself?" --"Photogenic Drawing", 1839⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most of my serious struggles have resulted in my most treasured lessons. There is beauty in the journey of piecing yourself back together. Hang in there; I hope you are able to see the lessons hidden in your struggles. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
